We just launched another #SmallThingsMatter campaign!

Courageous Girls, in partnership with Because International, is raising money to send The Shoe That Grows to refugee children and families around the world!

In our last #SmallThingsMatter campaign, our global CG community was able to raise funds for 265 pairs of The Shoe That Grows! Our goal as a CG Community for this #SmallThingsMatter campaign is to purchase 350 pairs of The Shoe That Grows for refugee children and families in need by August 10th!  Are you in?

Choose one of the 3 options:
1. Pray about donating directly as a family.

2. Connect with your CG group and see how the CG girls might innovate and fundraise this month. Challenge the group to purchase 1-10 pairs of shoes.
3. Tag a friend and share this vision. The more the merrier.

Core Values Index (CVI)
Have you heard CG co-founder Terra Mattson reference her hard-wiring from the Core Value Index (CVI) and wondered what your Core Values were? In case you were wondering, Terra is a Merchant-Innovator.  The CVI is a valuable assessment that helps us all understand how God designed us in a practical and empowering way. During this summer of simplicity, this would be a great assessment to implement into a mama retreat or a summer meet up. Having the mamas in your CG group not only understand their greatest contributions to the group, motherhood, and their families can be a catalyst for thriving CG groups,  family relationships, and friendships. If you would like to learn more or take the CVI, visit the link below. If you would like to have one of our CG coaches lead a retreat/training, email to get started.

CG Leaders & Mamas,

As you think about Courageous Girls, who comes to mind? Do you have a friend or know someone in your neighborhood or church that has a daughter and heard you share about the CG Movement? Would you be willing to serve as a “CG Mentor Mama” for this woman that God has placed into your life and help her walk through learning about Courageous Girls and what it takes to start a group? The CG Movement is unlike any other mom/daughter community.  Walking alongside a new CG mama as they pray about leading and starting a group is a beautiful example of Jesus’ leadership style. He walks with and then empowers.
Perhaps you are the one who heard about Courageous Girls from another mom, or are planning to participate with your daughter when she is a little older, or you are praying and planning for your group to start this year. We know starting a Courageous Girls group can feel daunting at first, especially during this COVID19 Pandemic, so we have provided a 5-Step Plan to help you take the first steps.
1. Pray
Pray for God’s wisdom as to whom could co-lead a group with you and/or invite into the group. They may not be the women who first come to mind. You may not know someone well, but see her at school or church and you sense a prompting to just ask. Trust God as He puts women on your heart while you prepare and pray.
2. Find Information and guidance at
You will find a wide range of resources at, including the “Getting Started” section.
3. Read Courageous: Being Daughters Rooted in Grace
CG Co-founder, Terra Mattson, authored Courageous: Being Daughters Rooted in Grace. This book provides a wonderful opportunity to understand the heartbeat of Courageous Girls. You can read this independently or do a book study with women you have invited to be in a CG group with you. This is a great vehicle to start moving deeper into these relationships.  Courageous is a resource for all daughters (from 16 to 116 years!). You get a free book with every 5 purchased directly from the CG shop or buy on amazon.
4. Resources
We invite you to utilize the following tools to help you stay connected to the Courageous Girls Movement.
a. The Living Wholehearted Podcast with Jeff & Terra Mattson (Founders of CG)  at
b. Facebook community mycourageousgirls
c.  Instagram @mycourageousgirls

5. Courageous Girls Coaching
Courageous Girls provides the opportunity to speak one-on-one with one of our Leadership Coaches via phone. All of our coaches are personally leading their own CG group and trained in the Core Values Index (used throughout the curriculum). Our Leadership Coaches have also been specifically trained to be a safe and trustworthy resource for you. Walking alongside other moms and their girls has unique challenges and our coaches are passionate about supporting you as you walk alongside them. Though our website is full of FREE resources to get you launched well, we also offer more in-depth trainings, coaching, and incentives for our CG Partners. We have many more to come.
Our Courageous Girls Leadership Team wants to link arms with you through prayer and be a resource as questions or concerns arise. Feel free to reach out to our team at

We are praying over you as you step into starting your own CG group and we know God will help you each step of the way. We are in this with you as we all commit to raising daughters rooted in God's grace and abundant love.

Rooted In Grace,
Courageous Girls Leadership Team
