The Legacy Header
Welcome to The Legacy – Spring issue!
Summer, winter, and autumn may have their fans, but Spring is the most lovable of the four seasons. Spring marks the end of winter, leaves start to grow again and days transition to hot, flowery summers.  There is more daylight and the buzz of insects and birds returned from migration add life to our gardens.  Seeing more of our feathered friends can add to our own happiness factor and there is no better indicator of Spring than birds chirping outside your window.
Birds and blossoms
There is something special about the Spring effect. One is able to spend more time outside, in the sunny spring weather, which can be a wonderful mood booster.
Spending time outside, can change the way people think, leaving them more open
to new information and creative thoughts.

As South Africa changes to level 2 restrictions, the Southern Hemisphere migrates
to Spring and we can finally ditch the heavy layers of winter and extreme restrictions
to movement, attempting to curb the spread of Covid 19.

Calgro Memorial Parks welcome you once again, to visit your loved ones in our beautiful, safe surroundings. We express deep gratitude, for your adherence to previous restrictions imposed by government, while navigating our way through Covid 19.

We look forward to seeing the return of families to our parks, placing flowers at the graveside of loved ones and to reconnect with those dearly departed. Looking at flowers can have amazing “immediate and long-term effects” resulting in elevated moods for days afterward, according to researchers. We too, have missed your presence and watching you lovingly place flowers in memory of your beloved.

Covid 19 may have stopped the world; it did not deter Calgro Memorial Parks, from a daily routine of maintaining gardens and beautifying each park in anticipation of your return. We still offer a safe and serene environment for you to visit.

“Although Covid 19 cases are beginning to decline, it is vital that South Africans continue to observe the prescribed safety precautions.”
What Level 2 restrictions mean for visitors to Calgro Memorial Parks:
  • Graveside visits are allowed during park hours
  • Funerals remain restricted to 50 people
  • Social distance of 1,5 metres to be maintained
  • Wearing a mask remains mandatory
  • Visit but take care
Keep strong South Africa, we are in this together!
