Hello <<First Name>>
Christmas is already starting to feel like a distant memory and even though I am in lockdown I am busier than ever with council related work.
I have been involved in assisting a very small number of residents who have needed a hand with picking up prescriptions but the fact these are so small in number is testament to the outstanding support operation in place by the council. I want to congratulate council officers for their dedication and compassion in supporting vulnerable residents at this challenging time.

I have had a conversation with the Surrey Heath Clinical Commissioning Group lead who has said the progress on vaccinations is going well in Surrey Heath despite a few small teething issues, to begin with.
Of course, GP's are encouraging residents to not call them or email them about vaccination information as they are not resourced to cope with the volumes of calls.
I will of course update you on any important information about vaccinations as and when I get it.

Surrey Heath Borough Council are consulting residents about some security measures for the green in Frimley Green.
I have posted about this across a number of local channels and it would seem that residents appear to be largely in opposition to the proposals.
It is vital that resident make their views known on this either in support or against the proposals.
More details on my page on how to do that here.

There has been some media reporting about the elections that are due to take place in May this year. This is also a big discussion among council leaders and officers. It does actually raise some serious questions.
I posted about this on my page to see what residents think and it would seem most support a postponement.
It should be pointed out that I have no influence over this whatsoever but I will be feeding back what residents say to our MP.
More details of this on my page.

Earlier this week, there was an announcement that Sainsbury's and Morrisons would start to enforce mask-wearing at their stores.
Going by the comments on my page, this has overwhelming support by most, although I am always surprised by the comments of some people who still don't understand the severity of this crisis.
Check out the post and subsequent comments on my page here.

As we are all stuck indoors I thought it would be fun to ask followers of my page to list off their top three TV shows/Movies of late. This had a great response and as a result, I have some serious viewing to catch up on.
Do check out and contribute to the recommendations here.

The MOD Training Areas were fenced off some time ago and a major bone of contention of residents was they never knew when the training areas would be opened up for public use when the army are not using them.
I am pleased to see that the DIO has put up signs informing residents of this. Post on my page about this here.

Police Community Support Officers acted on some intelligence in respect of a cannabis factory in Mytchett.

As always I want to hear from you if you have anything you would like to discuss with me of a local nature.
Best wishes
