Hey Friends!

Thanks so much for reading my October newsletter! I've got some Inktober sketches, a commission update and a bit more, so grab a bag of fun size Snickers and read on!
Inktober is finally here!

This is my third year joining in on the Inktober fun and once again I'm making it Batman themed. Here are a few of my recent Batober sketches. If you're not already following along, I'm posting daily on my Instagram and Twitter accounts. Thanks to everyone who has left kind comments. Adding 31 extra drawings this month is a lot, but I'm always glad I did it when it's done! ;) For those asking, the orginals will go up for sale in November. Details on that in a future newsletter.
Commission Update

If you're new to my newsletter, earlier this year I took on commission spots through the end of the year. A quick update for those on my list - September commissions went to their new homes a few weeks ago and October commissions should be finished by the end of the month.

Speaking of commissions - here's a few recently completed ones!
What am I working on?

Still nothing to report on this front (sorry sorry sorry). Just know that I am working hard on several projects that will most likely be announced between now and early 2020.  It was never my plan to disappear from monthly comics for this long. No one wants these projects out more than I do, but some projects have taken longer to get started than I anticipated and there are other projects where I just have no control over the schedule/timing of announcments. But rest assured I am working on a LOT right now and I hope you get to see some of it soon. :)
Recent pickups at the comic shop (shout out to Dark Side Comics in Chesterfield, MO - a great shop if you're in the St. Louis area!)
More from the comic shop!
Here's a few trades I've been reading. Nausicaa and Atlas & Axis I've been reading myself. The Bird & Squirrel books by James Buke are a favorite to read with my daughters (ages 8, 6, and 3.5).
And here are a few movies I've recently enjoyed. Cyber Ninja, Moon over Tao and Zeiram are all by Keita Amemiya. I really enjoy his aesthetic - all three are available through Archive.org. I also finally finished watching Neon Genesis Evangelion when it popped up on Netflix. I had the first ones on VHS tapes way, way back in the day but had never finished the series. The ending was way more depressing than I anticipated but still glad I got to see all of it.
Superman Sketch Auction

One last thing! This Superman sketch is
currently up for auction on Heritage Auctions to benefit the Ed Asner Center. If you're interested, go put in a bid for a great cause!
And that's it from my end! Thanks, as always, for your support!
