Dear Korczakians,
We would like to remind you of a very interesting three-part seminar that is taking place via Zoom in March about Janusz Korczak and Children's Rights. The seminar is sponsored by the Drew University's Center for Holocaust/Genocide Study and our Janusz Korczak Association of the USA. The last seminar will be presented by Ira Pataki on the Children's Republic in the Classroom Today. Let your friends and colleagues know about these events. Make sure to register in advance to receive the Zoom link.
The second seminar took place on March 11th. Mariola Strahlberg presented the biography of Janusz Korczak—Champion of Children, with a focus on "what we do matters.” Dr. Efrat Efron elaborated on the practical implications of Korczak's pedagogical legacy for educators today.

A welcome address was given by Joyce Reilly, Vice President of the Janusz Korczak Association of the USA. The entire seminar is dedicated to the memory of Irving Roth who, after experiencing concentration camps during WWII, dedicated his life to spreading a message of unity and compassion and created a beautiful Korczak Center at the Temple Judea in Manhassett, Long Island, New York. Here is Irving speaking about his hero, Janusz Korczak:

Best regards,
Mariola Strahlberg
