As I write this, our WIFI is down so I will try again later (Monday) and hope I can post out before the evening is over.

I enjoyed a great course on heritage grains at the Artisan Bakehouse last week alongside fellow Bread Angel friends. The workshop was led by bread hero Emmanuel Hadjiandreou. We milled our own grain and worked on different sourdough recipes using heritage grains like einkorn and teff. Lots of ideas and inspiration.

Thank you to all who ordered from me last week and came to Old Isleworth Market to collect your order on what was a bleak looking start to the day. Thankfully it cheered up as the day went on.

I am baking ricotta and spinach pastry slices this week - an old favourite that used to be on the menu every week - great with slow roasted tomatoes or seasonal vegetables for a light dinner or a lunchtime snack.

In response to a request for more wholemeal in my bakes I will be offering Country Sourdough this week.
Also ciabatta – light, springy and textured
and apple and cinnamon (not cardamom for a change!) or chocolate and cinnamon buns.

Please order by Tuesday 9pm for Thursday’s bake day.

This week's bakes are on the website now - Check here for more details

Thank you for your support of my local business. I look forward to baking for you!
