One thing we see too often at Sales Sigma are sales reps who make promises they are going to have a difficult time fulfilling. By over promising, they set themselves up to under deliver. Sadly, they rarely stretch the truth on something that is going to make or break the sale.
If these sales representatives truly understood their prospects, they would always under promise. If they understood the importance of their personal brand, they would position themselves to over deliver.
