I wanted to postpone the newsletter until I after book and author events I went to during the past week. First was YALLWEST, in Santa Monica, where I met Nicola Yoon, author of EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING. And last night, I went to the launch event for FINALE, the final book in Stephanie Garber's Caraval series:

These are only a few of the authors I admire. There were quite a few more that I interviewed last month:

Featured Authors: April 2019

April 3: E.M. Fitch discussed BEYOND THE WILD WOOD, the third book in her shape-shifter series.

April 10: Nicole Conway talked about LEGEND, the latest book in the Dragonrider Legacy series, and the additional companion activities for students that she offers on her website.

April 17: Clare Di Liscia, author of NELIEM, gave some excellent advice about writing, craft, and why it's important to "use your unique experiences and voice to tell your story."

April 24: Andrew Smith discussed his new Middle Grade novel, THE SIZE OF THE TRUTH, which has a main character that first appeared in the Winger series.

April 31: Alyson Gerber's latest novel, FOCUSED, shows what it's like to live with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and proves that anyone can do what they set their (scattered) mind to.

From the Interview Archives:

2017: Joanna Rowland's picture book, MEMORY BOX, poignantly depicted bereavement and loss. Her newest picture book, STAY THROUGH THE STORM, debuted on May 7, 2019.
