Our Turn: Edward H. Newman and Beverly Brozinski: Brown’s divisive vote inflames emotions

This referendum is part of the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement known as “BDS,” which itself is discriminatory against Jews, and threatens the existence of the Jewish homeland.

Editorial: A disturbing vote at Brown

it’s telling, and not in a good way, that Israel, the world’s only Jewish state, is the object of such disproportionate criticism. The history of the Jewish people is a profoundly moving one of rising above terrible oppression. In the Holocaust, Jews were targeted for destruction and 6 million of them were killed. It is chilling that this group of people is so frequently singled out. And it is wrong.

Letter: John Riedel, M.D.: Why aren’t Brown students protesting the Palestinians?

Letter: Howard Brown: Radical left-wing activists taking aim at Israel

It is true that radical left-wing Israel-obsessed activists have dragged some Protestant denominations into ill-advised anti-Israel resolutions in recent years. In at least one case in 2018, a senior member of the Episcopalian clergy was forced to apologize publicly for fabrications about Israeli police brutality she made at their national convention in the cause of furthering the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement’s goals...

Where unfounded anti-Israel activity like this does take place in Rhode Island, the pro-Israel community is committed to call it out and expose the Jew-hatred and hypocrisy it represents.
