This Sunday, we have the privilege of launching the new YA novel from Littleton author, Kris Asselin, Falling for Wonder Boy

The book revolves around a 16-year-old New Hampshire golf phenom named Kate, who is going to have to shoot better than ever to save her family's golf course. But golf is a game of concentration and Kate has a lot of big distractions, to say the least. If Kate can't win the New Hampshire Junior Golf Championship, her family's golf course may close forever. If she wins, she'll be the first girl to do so, and the media attention will surely help the golf course spring back to life.

This book occupies a space not seen a lot, even in YA publishing - a sports romance story with a female protagonist. It's a book that Kris has been working on for some time, and we're thrilled to be able to launch it for her!

You may remember Kris because she not only took part in our Grand Opening Week in April with Jen Malone for the book they co-authored, The Art of the Swap, which is recently out in paperback. That book also occupies a fairly unique space, as a body swap-time travel adventure, and it's why the book has been among our store's bestsellers since we opened. We also got to know Kris well over the summer at the Littleton Third Thursday events. Kris is very involved with the Reuben Hoar Library in Littleton, which was also a participant in Third Thursdays, and Kris would spend her time ping pong-ing between the two tables. The events were a lot of fun!

Join us Sunday to celebrate Falling for Wonder Boy!

Before our launch Sunday, we'll have Saturday Morning Story Time with Carol Gordon Ekster. A former teacher and a Boston University graduate, Carol has written over 60 books since 2002, including the two that we'll feature on Saturday - Before I Sleep: I Say Thank You and, her most recent book, You Know What?. Both focus on bed time, with the latter being an adorable book where main character Oliver has to tell his mother everything he learned and noticed throughout his day before he can go to bed.

Join us for Saturday Morning Story Time - Carol will have a craft in addition to her two stories!
