NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND BBQ/POTLUCK
Members of the Northwest Territories Floatplane Association/COPA Flight 108 are hereby notified of the 2022 Annual General Meeting and BBQ/Potluck:
Saturday, May 21, 2022 (Weather Permitting)
Anderson Thomson Tower - Outdoor Deck
The AGM will be conducted after the BBQ/Potluck and will include a report from the board of directors, year-end financial statements, election of officers, and proposed amendments to the constitution and bylaws. Members are encouraged to review the draft amended constitution and amended bylaws in advance of the AGM.
The positions of Treasurer, Secretary and Director-at-Large are due for election for 2-year terms. The Treasurer also serves as Navigator for COPA Flight 108 and must therefore be a member in good standing of COPA National.
Anyone wishing to stand for election should email the Secretary prior to the AGM to have their name placed on the nomination list. Nominations will also be accepted from the floor at the AGM. Anyone nominated from the floor must be present at the AGM or submit a written acceptance of the nomination.
Only paid-up members are eligible to vote, nominate officers or hold office. Payments by cheque or cash will be accepted at the BBQ but online membership purchase/renewal through the website is preferred. Annual dues are $35.
The AGM and BBQ/Potluck will be held on the outdoor deck at Anderson Thomson Tower. Visitor parking is available against the brown wooden fence on the east side of the building, in 4 spot outside the office on the west side, or along 49th Street. Enter the building through the front entrance using buzzer code 01833. The deck is accessed from the end of the hall on the 3rd floor.
We’ll be firing up the BBQ at about 5:30pm. NWTFA/COPA Flight 108 will supply burgers, smokies, and soft drinks. Bring a salad, snacks or dessert to add to the potluck. Family, guests and prospective members are welcome but please RSVP by May 19, 2022.
The AGM and BBQ/Potluck will be postponed if weather is unsuitable on the scheduled date.
