Farm Tours!
Wanted to share two upcoming farm tours with you all.
Getting out to a farm is a great activity for September.
The farms involved are incredibly diverse - aquaponic greenhouse, grassfed beef ranch, specialty mushroom grower, native plant nursery, cut-flower farm, and many more!
1. Open Harvest's
Dig Deeper Farm Tour
September 18th
 
Drive yourself, at your own pace to 8 different farms in the Lincoln area.
Get a taste of the farms who grow your food! Learn more about microgreens, no-till farming, garlic production, cut-flower growing, bee-keeping, dairy goats, and urban farming!

Some farms are giving guided tours, others will have activities, self-guided tours or items for sale. Get out there and enjoy the day!

2. SE Nebraska Diversified Farm Tour
September 24th 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

Drive yourself to 1 or all 5 farms. Tours are at specific times, you can meet us at any or all tour stops you want to attend. Be sure to join us for a lunch prepared from local ingredients by Artisan Mark in Crete!

8:30-9:30  for a tour of Lotus Gardens and Midwest Natives  Lincoln, NE

10-11 Tour of DS Family Farm Malcolm, NE

11:30-12:30 Lunch at Crete's Tuxedo Park

12:45-1:45 Tour Jurena's Homegrown  Crete, NE

2:30- 3:30 Tour TBD
