Leadership Spotlight: Karla Fernandez

Karla, a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, has been a veterinary technician for over 18 years. She completed her studies at San Francisco State University and Foothills College. Her veterinary career started as a rescue, rehabilitation, and care supervisor and council member for 12 years at The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, California. She then continued as a veterinary technician, with companion animals in Primary Wellness Care, then onto veterinary specialty medicine in Internal Medicine, Oncology, and Emergency Medicine in the Bay Area.

Because of her dedication and leadership, Karla was asked to join the NOMV Board of Directors in 2020. She also serves as the Chair of the NOMV Support Grants Committee.
