Kelly Made it to Missouri
"It was wonderful being greeted by big smiles at Barn Hallow Veterinary Services in Mountain View, Missouri. My only regret is not being able to stay longer in order to get to know Dr. Orchard (The Cow Guy) and his friendly team and absorb some more of their positive energy!!! Thank you all for sending me down the road with a smile and an even better outlook on the day.🙏☀️" https://www.facebook.com/KellysRidefor5/
Because of our sponsors, every dollar our amazing NOMV racers raise goes directly to funding NOMV's programs.

Partner Spotlight

NOMV's mission promises to provide "education, resources, and support." Part of providing resources means making connections with partners whose programs compliment and enhance NOMV's efforts to bring mental health resources to veterinary professionals.

Shanti Project is one of our partners. Their Veterinary Mental Health initiative provides peer support groups and one-on-one support sessions for veterinarians. (Note: while at this time the program only covers veterinarians, NOMV has encouraged them to expand the program to be more inclusive of all veterinary professionals.)

Here is what Shanti Project says about their program:

Our Initiative provides an empathetic and supportive space to understand how your professional peers are persisting through similar challenges. We emphasize processing stress and grief, learning effective coping skills, implementing a healthier work-life balance, and renewing a love for veterinary medicine. Our group will address participants’ individual concerns in the context of a shared experience that helps to foster wellbeing and resilience in this career.

We offer 2 services:

  • Professional Peer Support Groups
  • One-to-One Support Sessions

All services are completely free, confidential, virtual, 1-hour in length, and facilitated by peer support experts with experience in grief and loss, work-life balance, trauma, and suicide prevention.
