Our mission is to transform the status of mental wellness within the profession so all veterinary professionals can survive and thrive through education, resources, and support.

Happy National Veterinary Technician Week!

We spent National Veterinary Technician Week celebrating our vet techs all week long! Their role in this industry is essential and we loved seeing the outpouring of support for all the amazing veterinary technicians. Though the week is almost over, vet techs deserve to be celebrated all year long for their heroic work. Treat the vet tech in your life with some limited edition swag from the NOMV shop!

If you are a veterinary technician in need of peer support and mental health resources, be sure to join our Peer Support Network - NOMV Support Staff.

Volunteer Spotlight: Isabella Santoro

This week we are highlighting Isabella Santoro, CVT, one of our amazing NOMV volunteers!

Isabella is a veterinary technician and has been volunteering with NOMV since January of 2021 as lead of the Veterinary Content Subcommittee. Her favorite thing about volunteering for NOMV is working with people who share a passion for acceptance and mental health within the veterinary community. Isabella volunteers for NOMV because, “Mental wellbeing is an entity that is easily left behind in the veterinary field, and I want to be part of a group of experts that cultivate a very much needed change. Volunteering for NOMV is an extremely valuable way to make an impact and I love the opportunity to learn more about how to help those struggling in this field. As a veterinary technician, I have faced my fair share of field-related adversity but found support in NOMVSS, so it's important to me to give back.”

Thank you Isabella for all that you do for NOMV and the veterinary community!
