The Black SX Worker Emergency Survival Fund is providing free grants for Black SW across Toronto & The GTA impacted by the pandemic.

When you come through a Strap House event you're directly benefitting from the time, energy and beauty of Black SW. It's time to show up for us with your dollars. Donate directly to the fund and share!
On April 16th Ontario Premier Doug Ford introduced a series of COVID-related restrictions including measures that expand police powers. Despite a series of protests and light back-tracking, expanded police powers through the pandemic have resulted in SX workers being targeted by local law enforcement. Maggie's is offering free legal supports for SX workers targeted by law enforcement. Find it here!
Late last month an Ontario Superior Court Justice ruled that a series of anti-SW regulations create unsafe working conditions and should be rendered unenforceable. Ontario SW: police will still enforce these anti-SW provisions until a higher court upholds the decision! Learn more and connect with Maggie's for legal support!
Maggie's Toronto and Butterfly: Asian & Migrant SW Support Network are fighting harmful anti-trafficking legislation in Ontario that targets SW through expanded police powers into social services, hotels, even Air bnb. Bill-251 proposes a $307M investment in law enforcement and social services to track, surveil and target SW in ways that harm our communities. Learn more & help us fight back!
Let's talk about bathhouses. Toronto bathhouses are key spaces for for queer communities in our city to connect, explore and experiment. The Coalition for Safe Club Reopening is pushing City Council and the Board of Public Health to implement safe re-opening measures specific to the needs of bathhouse staff + community. Sign their petition and follow to support!
Canada's parliament is planning to introduce new regulations to P*rnhub and other adult content platforms following the decision from Visa and Mastercard to stop processing payments to the platform. They are refusing to hear from SX workers and our organizations, and prioritizing testimony from RCMP, anti-trafficking organizations and SX work abolitionists. Read more on how to support!
Did you know that Ontario $tr!ppers are suing the province for discrimination on the job? Following a series of mandated shut downs and degrading remarks from both Toronto Mayor John Tory and Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Work Safe Twerk Safe are launching a legal challenge. Donate to their legal defense fund here!
