Dear Friend,

You might have noticed it already, but April is the month where we have started to commemorate that this is our fifth year of mentoring. We started recruiting mentors and mentees for our very first mentoring program mid 2016. We were not a foundation yet, just wanted to find out if there was an appetite for a mentoring program, that our idea would fulfill a need. And it did! We were so excited at the time and still are. #Polarismentoring

Since then, our mentoring program has helped people to receive promotions, become more visible in their organization, and to find out their best next career step. Additionally, some received support when setting up their own business, others became better at communicating with an impact and some became better leaders.  

We will share the beautiful growth stories of our mentors and mentees, having more than 30 different nationalities, in the months of April, May, and June. We hope you enjoy them. What better way to celebrate the anniversary of our mentoring program than by sharing the testimonial of Johanna Hainz. Johanna is a Global head of retail at MAERSK and was a mentee of the Polaris Mentoring Program.
The idea of the program was initially developed and launched back in August 2016. In December 2016, we kicked off the first mentoring program.

On March 29 we invited our Inspire & Impact speakers, Julia Jelinksa, Aithan Shapira, and Joanna Chmura, for an online fireside chat. This event focused on practicing the art of letting go and hearing their perspectives on grief and getting familiar with the unknown. You can watch this interactive session here.
