Dear People of Holy Communion,

I have spent the last couple of weeks talking with the vestry and Pandemic Advisory Task Force. With a high percentage of the congregation vaccinated and the numbers in Missouri thankfully starting to trend down, we have agreed it is time to take steps toward re-opening our building. For the sake of safety, our primary worship will remain online through the summer, but we are looking to make more options available soon, including Sunday morning worship in the church.

As we plan the work ahead I need to ask your help. Please take the time to take our congregational survey by clicking the button below. The more we know about your hopes and concerns, the better we can plan.

The survey is short. It contains a separate set of questions for families, like mine, with children still too young to be vaccinated. We want to make sure we keep everyone’s needs on the table as we plan.

Please take the time to complete the survey by Tuesday May 4.

In Christ,

This Sunday’s Outdoor Service at 4pm: stay tuned for rain plans in case

Sign up for the May 2 Service

We hope to have our outdoor service in Mooney Park this Sunday May 2 at 4pm. Bishop Deon will be with us and many of our new members will be confirmed, received, or reaffirm their faith. (If you are interested in confirmation/reception and haven’t already heard from the rector, please get in touch). We would be delighted to have a good crowd of Holy Communion folks with us as we welcome new official members.

We are keeping an eye on the forecast. The chances for rain Sunday afternoon have increased a great deal over the last 24 hours. We will email all who sign up with a rain plan by Saturday at 4pm (this will likely mean postponing the service to a later Sunday in May).
