Hello Interfaith Friends,

Did you get the meeting reminder? We look forward to seeing you for our July meeting, tomorrow at 9:00 AM.

In this week's email, we share ways you can help our community that are related to both COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter movement. As always, we encourage you to share this information with your faith communities and agencies.

City of FoCo: Climate Action & Equity Need Your Help Today!
Can you help us get the word out by sharing the following brainstorming workshops with coworkers, family, and friends? Our Climate Future is asking community members for their ideas on how to achieve our community’s goals around waste, energy, and climate as part of the next phase of Our Climate Future. This new phase of engagement builds upon priorities identified last fall, which include affordable housing, sustainable transportation, reuse and recycling, renewable energy, equity, inclusion, and more.

We have seen how collective action changed the course of the COVID-19 pandemic and we are seeing how it is elevating the voices of people of color to combat systemic racism in America. Collective action can also be a powerful tool to ensuring our climate future is equitable, resilient, and prosperous for all and we want your ideas and solutions!

Learn more at fcgov.com/climatefuture.

Larimer County Office on Aging: Headphone Drive
An earbud and headphone collection drive is underway for senior living facilities! There is an effort to collect new and gently used earbuds and over-the-ear headphones to help older adults stay connected to the people that matter most to them. If you have any earbuds or headphones around your home and would like to donate, please drop off your donation to Kate Spruiell at 2120 Sweetwater Creek Drive, Fort Collins. We will sanitize gently used devices before delivering them to senior living facilities. Donations of 70% alcohol sanitation pads are also welcome.

FoCo Cafe: Grab and Go Meals Available on Tuesdays
Stop by FoCo Cafe on Tuesdays to get a grab-and-go lunch between 12:30 and 2pm! As things progress we will be serving more and more days and eventually get back to normal. We are building community one plate (or box) at a time, and we couldn't do it without you! Also, we're hiring! Learn more here.

Spirituality Book Club Update
Because of continuing risk of exposure to the Coronavirus, the next meeting of the Spirituality Book of the Month Club has been postponed. It is with the hope that the group could meet in person again on the third Sunday of September, with host John Fitch still inviting the group to his home, renowned for its sustainable construction. Final announcement of the date will await a review of health conditions by the end of August. Fitch's recently published book "Creating Home That Sustain Our Lives, Economy and the Earth," would still be the selection  for discussion, with information provided about how to order it as an e-book for minimum cost.

Don't forget to send your volunteer requests to us at fortcollinsinterfaith@gmail.com.
