CXE Committee Opportunity
From: Marcinda Kester, NASCOE President

I am writing to inform you about a unique opportunity to provide direct feedback in a small-group format. Your experience in working with customers and coworkers will be used to help shape the direction of initiatives and improvements to processes relating to the internal and external customer experience.

The Farm Production and Conservation Customer Experience Division (FPAC CXD) is currently recruiting for members of the Customer Experience Enhancement Committee (CXE Committee). The committee will be made up of 35‒40 employees from every level across FPAC agencies, with an emphasis on field employees. The committee will come together virtually on a monthly basis to discuss customer service issues, provide insights on how to better serve producers, and make recommendations to staff who are charged with developing and improving the customer experience at FPAC.

The time commitment for this committee is expected to be less than 5% of an employee’s time; monthly meetings should last between 1‒2 hours, with a potential for subcommittees or special projects that may add an additional commitment of 4 hours per month.
The purpose of this committee is to promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within customer experience. The FPAC CXD wants to gain perspective about the customer experience directly from employees who use the systems that provide the products and services we offer to customers and who have daily contact with our farmers and ranchers. The committee will create an ongoing feedback loop from field employees to the FPAC Customer Experience Division.
Information gathered from the CXE Committee with be used to improve insights on internal customer challenges and barriers within workload, program dissemination, and resources needed to work with external customers.

Please consider applying for this committee if you are a problem solver with innovative ideas and a desire to improve the customer experience.  Visit the FPAC CX Division Public Page to apply or nominate an FPAC employee by September 27, 2022.
If you would like to learn more about the committee, an informational webinar about the application process, time commitment, and format of the CXEC will be held on Thursday, September 15 at 12 noon eastern time on Teams (Teams link here). The meeting will be recorded and available on the FPAC CX Division Public Page.
To find out more, check out the FPAC Unpacked article posted on September 13th . If you have any questions regarding this initiative, please reach out to the Customer Experience Division at FPAC.CustomerExperience@usda.gov.
