FY 18-19 EC Officers & Chairs

The first board meeting of the year was held May 3rd, where officers and chairs were selected for the FY 18-19 term.  Please join us in thanking the following members for stepping up to the plate and helping to move our industry forward!

SSIA Fitness Challenge

We'd like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Christian Crute and his team at SportsLink for putting on the SSIA Fitness Challenge!  It all began last month, when Christian challenged everyone in the SSIA to four weeks' worth of exercising, making healthier food choices, and promoting teamwork throughout the month of May.

In total, 174 owners and their staff from 25 clubs signed up.  Of that initial group, 160 people actually posted points.  Great job, all!

Congratulations to Team Blue, which consisted of Underdog Sports Leagues, NJ Play Sports, Sportsmonkey, SportsLink, Atlanta Sport & Social Club, Tampa Bay Club Sport and Kaboom Sports & Social Club, for winning the Team Challenge!  A big congrats also goes out to Sportsmonkey for Top Club With 6 Participants Or Less and the winner of $1,000 towards their SSIA Membership, along with SportsLink for Top Club with 7 Participants Or More Participants, and Amanda Brooks of SportsLink for having the highest overall points for the Individuals Division!  Great job everyone!

Sponsor Highlight: LeagueApps
Krissy had the opportunity to visit Brian Litvack, Asaf Winer, and the rest of the team at LeagueApps during her trip to The Big Apple to check out their new office space, meet some of their staff, and talk about exciting opportunities for our members.

Along with providing sport and social clubs with solutions for program management, registration, payment, organization account management, content management and marketing tools, LeagueApps can also design custom sites for their customers. Earlier this month, they helped launch a new website for fellow SSIA member, Chicago Sport & Social Club.  Check it out HERE.

LeagueApps is offering special pricing on custom sites for SSIA members.  Contact Asaf Winer at for more information.
Member Highlight
During Krissy's visit to NYC, Steve Frenchman of Volo City was nice enough to organize dinner at Sauce Restaurant for members located in NYC, New Jersey and Philly, followed by flip cup and pitchers at their Wednesday Night Kickball league's post-game happy hour bar.  Members from PlayMore Sport & Social Club, Philadelphia Sports Leagues, BAM Social Sports, Big City Volleyball League and of course, Volo City, were in attendance, and a great time was had by all!

Everyone was impressed with the number of players that were at the post-game bar.  Steve said that Volo City has seen a large increase in player attendance by providing players the opportunity to continue scoring points against the opposing team they played that night with flip cup.  This keeps the bar and sponsor happy, so it's a winning concept for Volo City.  Keep up the great work, guys!
