Important Conference Deadlines

Join us February 20th-23rd for the 2018 SSIA Conference to the Hard Rock Vallarta!  Book your room by January 20th to take advantage of our special rates.

Hurry...rooms are filling quickly!  Click HERE to register for the conference, book your room, secure your shuttle from the airport to the hotel AND select your conference seminars.

Don't forget that each room booked receives resort credits that can be used for golf, spa services, meal upgrades and excursions.  If you plan to stay Friday night after the conference, think about using your credits towards a sunset cruise!  Email Krissy at if interested.

Nominate your peers for Social Star Awards!  The deadline to submit your nomination(s) is midnight EST on December 31st.  CLICK HERE to see the categories and make your nominations.   Please email Chris Wessely at with two or three photos and up to a 50-word description for the nomination.  

Voting will open January 4th and close at midnight EST on January 15th.

The Customer Service Survey is ready!  It's that time of year once again to compete for the Champions Award in Customer Service, where the Top Performers for both small (under 2000 annual teams) and large clubs (over 2000 annual teams) will be honored at the Social Star Awards Ceremony.

Similar to past years, this award category is self-nominated. Members will nominate themselves by sending out a customer service survey developed by the Executive Committee to their customers from the SSIA's Survey Monkey account. Krissy will set up the survey, allow those of you who would like to participate to customize the look and questions to a degree to fit your business, and provide you with a link to send the surveys to your customers. All participants in the Champions Award then receive data from their specific survey. Each Member's survey and results are private. 

All clubs that receive an aggregate score of 7.75 or higher on a minimum of 4 ratings questions will be recognized at the ceremony. (This is an increase from previous years' minimum aggregate score of 7.5.  The plan is to increase that number to 8 next year.)  The club with the highest overall score in the Small and Large category will win the Champions Award. Awards for Best Customer Service in Sports Leagues and Best Customer Service in Events for both small and large clubs will also be presented.

To participate, you will need to follow these guidelines: 

- Send the SSIA-provided survey to EVERYONE who participated in your leagues and events in 2017 (no cherry-picking from your best leagues and events, please!)

- Report to Krissy how many participants were sent the link.

- Get at least 100 survey responses from unique participants by midnight EST on January 15th.

Please take a look at the survey by following the survey link, and email with any tweaks you need made to your questions. She will then send you a link to your customized Customer Service Survey that will include your club's logo.

Member Highlight
On December 2nd CCA Sports held it’s 4th Annual Santa Stumble Pub Crawl with over 900 crawlers. Started in 2013 with 303 participants, it has been great to watch this event grow.
 The weather was awesome and helped us achieve a record crowd.  Participants were decked out in holiday attire ranging from the ugly sweater to fully outfitted Santa Claus’.  This year we mixed things up a bit and partnered with 6 local non-profits and raised over $4000 for them.  Working with the non-profit allowed each participant to give a donation to the group they went on crawl with.   The exposure for CCA of working with 6 non-profits was awesome as we learned more about what these groups do in Indy.  As we look to 2018 and the 5th Annual Santa Stumble Pub Crawl we have set a goal of 1200-1500.  The stumble has grown in popularity and is quickly becoming the top holiday crawl in the Indy market

The Q1 National Call is scheduled for 3pm EST on January 25th.  Keep an eye out for the invite on the SSIA private Facebook group page and on Slack!
