Customer Service Champions Award Survey
Our annual Champions Award provides an opportunity for your club to be recognized for outstanding customer service and for the industry to establish valuable industry benchmarks that members can use to improve their services.
Similar to past years, this award category is self-nominated. Members will nominate themselves by sending out a personalized customer service survey developed by the Executive Committee's Social Star Committee to their customers from the SSIA's Survey Monkey account.
Krissy will set up the survey and provide you with a link to send the surveys to your customers. All participants in the Champions Award then receive detailed data from their specific survey. Each Member's detailed results are private while select unidentifiable scores and benchmarks will be shared with the larger membership and industry and used to determine awards recognition.
We'd like to say a big THANK YOU to Brian Irving of Chicago Sport & Social Club, Robert Kinsler of United Fray and John Pantzer of Circle City Athletics for their help in revamping the Champions Award this year!
Click HERE for details about how to participate and email Krissy at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
It's Time To Complete Your Annual Member Update!
We are excited to launch the second Annual Member Update! This SSIA Member requirement will allow us to understand the basics about our members and to build bigger, better, more valuable member benefits in the future. Best news of all - it’s simple and should only take a few minutes to fill out. Keep in mind that this form asks about 2018 total stats and focuses on all the leagues, events and tournaments you offered (so be ready with basic reports on players/participants by sport/event for all leagues that ended in 2018).
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE - if your business owns/operates multiple clubs and/or separate markets, you will need to complete separate forms for each. For those with many clubs/markets, there is a way to enter this information in a spreadsheet that we can share (email email@example.com if you want to learn more about that).
What will the update be used for?
Build a better understanding of the SSIA/Social Sports Industry
Establish the SSIA as the go-to destination for information, trends and statistics about the Social Sports Industry
Create/iterate valuable internal member benefits i.e. industry reports, trends benchmarks and sponsorship opportunities
Grow awareness and external member benefits such as industry articles and PR efforts
The deadline is Friday, December 14th (by midnight EST). Remember, this is a requirement for all members and each member needs to fill out one form for each club/market they operate.
Alright, time to get started... please click HERE to start your Annual Member Update.
If you have any questions, please contact Galen Beers at firstname.lastname@example.org.

SSIA Fitness Challenge 2.0 Results
We'd like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Christian Crute and his team at SportsLink for putting on the second SSIA Fitness Challenge of 2018! It all began last month, when they challenged everyone in the SSIA to a two-week sprint consisting of exercising, making healthier food choices, and promoting teamwork by placing participants with buddies from across the country.
Congratulations to the top individual female and male point-getters, Jaime Filipek of Pittsburgh Sports League, and Cliff Thomas of Play In the Bay Sport & Social Club for crushing it! A big Congrats also goes out to the top Buddy Champions, Cliff Thomas and Greg Mitrik of Pittsburgh Sports League!
The Sport & Social Group teamed up with Sports & Laughs Productions, a team formed between actors and comedians from Toronto who play in Toronto Sport & Social Club's leagues, to create the web series, "Any Given Weeknight".
"We created the content in order to support a great idea that was presented to us, for fun and a new experience, as well to have great original content for our members," said Kristi Herold, owner of the Sport & Social Group. "We intentionally kept Toronto references out so other SSIA clubs may wish to enjoy sharing the content with their members. I’m a big believer in trying new things when opportunity knocks. Perhaps a legit TV show or more web series seasons will spin off this down the road."
“Any Given Weeknight” is the probably true story of a recreational basketball team that has nothing to lose, and nothing to win either. Filmed as a mockumentary, starring some of the funniest comedians around, this web series is “The Office” meets the Sport & Social Group. Click HERE to watch the episodes.
