The Daily -
Loneliness Is Magnified

Dear Broad Street Community,

Friends, this photo breaks my heart!  If you look closely you can see Broadstreeters Rick and Carol, barely visible.  They’re in Cincinnati, doing their best to visit his mother.  Unfortunately, during this season of social distancing, this is as close as they can safely get.

Welcome to family life during COVID-19 Coronavirus, when loneliness is magnified. This is what so many, many people are going through; this is what we’re all going through.

I believe a photo like this breaks God’s heart, too.  People need people!  Caring ministry at Broad Street continues to provide support through phone calls, notes, art, Zoom calls, etc.  Every phone call you make brightens someone’s day.  Every phone call grows the web of connections the Holy Spirit uses to knit us into a community of faith.
Suggestion of the Day: Reach out and connect with someone today - pick up the phone and call.  If you’d like a name or two, contact me at apalmerton@bspc.org.

Blessing:
God, bless the telecare going on all around us.
Bless the lonely and those in need of a friend.
Bless us with and through each other.  Amen.
