This newsletter brings you shuttle news, events & updates, links, and stories from
"Behind The Wheel".

Endless roads, endless possibilities...

My, how things have changed since the last newsletter! No doubt you are up-to-date on the current events of the world, and do not need me to elaborate on what is going on beyond the Shuttle... For the past 14 days, however, I have been in relative self-isolation, quarantining myself since I became ill. While I have been feeling better, I chose to 'ride out' the recommendation of 14 days in isolation, and stay home. After today, I will continue to keep a vigilant eye on myself and stay home as much as possible as is the overall directive for everyone in every state now... For any traveling needs after the 28th, The Shuttle will operate as-needed, and according to our state's recommendations for "essential" services.
As of the time of this newsletter's appearance in your inbox, Montana's governor has issued us a "shelter-in-place" order, requiring us all to stay home until further notice. Exceptions to this order include necessary transportation for caring for loved ones, grocery-getting, and, thankfully, enjoying the outdoors and open spaces while practicing the 6-foot social distancing guidelines. The Shuttle will obey these directives.
For those of you who have booked your summer trips and made deposits, you can find the cancellation/refunds information here. It is encouraging, however, to know some of you continued to book your summer and fall trips or basic transportation, despite the pandemic situation spreading across America. We all should continue look forward to 'better days', knowing this crisis will pass!
Meanwhile, though many of the airlines' flights have been cancelled lately, please feel free to contact me to discuss possibilities for your transportation needs, or, for small group, self-contained touring ideas in and around Montana, should you find yourself here.
If you are at all like me, "cabin fever" may soon set in... With so much open space here in the west, it is indeed possible (and healthy) to enjoy the outdoors, while still avoiding crowds and maintaining social distancing!  As you know, the Shuttle seats 11, yet the gathering of groups numbering more than 10 people are currently prohibited... The Shuttle can still accommodate small groups, but will not be serving "mixed groups" at this time, until further notice; likewise, no extra seating availability will be announced. At this time, all shuttling will be considered "Private", but at the "mixed group" pricing, until further notice...
As these days of pandemic crisis progress, with COVID-19 updates and changes happening daily, please remember to take care of yourselves, and try to stay optimistic!  We need to remember that we are not alone, despite the need to keep a safe social distanceAs always, I am available for trip planning assistance, or, just to connect with if you feel like chatting about travel or all things Montana!
Let me know how you're doing! Stay connected, any safe way you can--to me, to your friends and loved ones, etc.
Thank you for your continued support, and...

Featured Destination: Missoula, Montana

Although we are subject to the same conditions as the rest of the country now, our dear town remains "open" in many ways--open spaces surround our valley floor, restaurants and other service industries are still open for business, and we tend to connect to one another here, openly, and in a friendly manner like nowhere else I have traveled.
As a Destination Missoula partner, I received a link in an email this morning from that organization, with a great list of things and places people can still enjoy while maintaining the required safe 'social distance'.

"When this is all over"...
Remember Destination Missoula, the city's hub for information and resources for travelers and tourists, and even locals. Remember our city of just around 72K people, snug in a valley that was once submerged in a geologic wonder (Glacial Lake Missoula); and is now home to numerous trailheads, festivals and concert venues, arts and Native American culture as well as a healthy outdoor lifestyle; and is just a scenic drive away from any little western town, or mountain, alpine lake, or award-winning fishing stream...

Remember, that even small cities can be a "destination"--a place you visit because of what it has to offer, and for what you can experience there. The Shuttle can help you experience Missoula like a local, or, take you away from the hub for a day...
