NEWS: What...Where...With who..?

What an amazing summer!!

'Where have I been??' you may be wondering. This newsletter seemed to take a vacation this summer, like many of you hopefully did!

Starting in mid-June, the Shuttle saw an incredible spike in activity which rolled right into early September! I couldn't be more pleased with the seemingly non-stop activity that afforded me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful groups and individuals, bringing us all to destinations near and far, both new-to-me as well as some familiar ones... The list of uplifting, positive adjectives that describe this past summer is as long as the list of places we have traveled. Therefore, this month's edition of "In The Driver's Seat" is a recap of the past season's achievements, highlights, and moments to remember!

Looking forward to a wonderful fall, The Shuttle is settling in to a shift in activity as well as scenery, with some of the same offerings that are suitable for colder weather, such as hot springs visits, cool hiking trips, brewery tours, and as always--exploration! Stay tuned to MTAS's social media sites for what is going on this fall!

Featured Trips of Summer 2019:
O Canada!
July 10-12, 2019:  The Shuttle makes its first trip to Canada! Adventure cyclists finishing their trip in Jasper, Alberta, Canada, needed a ride back to Missoula, MT, and MTAS was excited to make the journey north and back over two days... The Canadian Rockies hold astounding beauty...and ice fields as well as glaciers!

Outfitter-inspired and small group packrafting trips made their debut with the shuttle starting in June, heading to the famed Bob Marshall Wilderness...

An MTAS private kayak tour in a "secret location"... Not so secret: how beautiful Montana charms people by land or by water!

'Dreams' Really Can Come True!

Back in December of 2018, as the New Year was approaching, I mentioned some goals I hoped to achieve in 2019, including new equipment purchases, developing more partnerships, and more... What you see here is the culmination of some of those dreams coming true--the new bike racks on the van were purchased to be able to make my first trip into Canada to pick up eight adventure cyclists. Packrafting making its debut in the shuttle schedule was the result of two a new partnerships, formed between The Shuttle and Backcountry Packrafts--the owner whom I met at a conference this past spring--and a local outfitter seeking an easier solution to his transportation needs for his clients!
Over all, though the year is not finished, I am happy to have made connections with groups and organizations from across the globe as well as right here in our 'back yard'.

Wishing you all a healthy, happy, and adventurous fall season!
