Photographing Brussels at Night

Belgium is the historical centre of Europe, and for a westerner with a passion for photographing fantastic places, I might as well have flown directly to heaven.
We have a winner! Pär Ohlson's shot of Stångehuvud Lighthouse at sunset narrowly defeated submissions from Scott Goldsworthy and A.J. Leal. We're happy to report we've sent off a $50 Amazon Gift Card and have already started adding this month's submissions to the contest for August. See which ones we've selected so far on the PIXEO Photo Challenge Page

The Escalator to Hell?  It's not, but travelling on the Stockholm subway lines you will experience the longest art exhibition in the world. Each station is highly decorated from abstract art to classic themes.

Little Qualicum Falls Provincial Park straddles the scenic Little Qualicum River, where impressive waterfalls cascade and plummet down a rocky gorge in a beautiful forest setting.

The Wonder View Trail has an incredible view looking out over Los Angeles and the surrounding basin.

Cape D’Or lighthouse is an adorable lighthouse, with an amazing view out over the Bay of Fundy.  It is hard to get a full view... take a drone if you have one!

St Andrew's Catholic Church is a lovely historic church with amazing views out over the waterfront.

One of several old windmills in the countryside of this area. This one is particularly photogenic because of the old trees surrounding it.

Meanwhile at

Well, what a week. We sent Pär Ohlson his $50 Gift Card and brought the July PIXEO Challenge to a close. Then banged away at setting up the August challenge. So many amazing pictures to pick from this week. You folks are genuinely talented, and I need to step up my game even more. We can't wait to see what the rest of the month will bring.

Relatively quiet on the development front. Most things seem to be working well, and so we're going to sit back and see what you all have in mind for future releases. We know search in the app is a common ask, and we're saving our pennies to build it. But other than that if you have any other ideas for what would make it better, please don't hesitate to let us know. You can contact us on our website by clicking here.

Yours aye,

Shawn M. Kent
