Morro da Urca has an incredible view looking down over the bay and Rio de Janeiro's cityscape. This first stop along the cable car taking you to the summit Sugarloaf mountain is well worth exploring - especially as the lights of the city come up.

The scenic fjords of Norway are such a breathtaking sight - the waterways and high rolling hills make quite the impression. The views from the waterways are some of the best spots to get unique vantage points.

Photographer's Guide to the Catacombs of Paris

If you've seen Indiana Jones and the Quest for the Holy Grail, you'll remember this place. The cinematic resting place of the Holy Grail is no movie magic; it's a real place. These hand-carved massive sandstone structures are just as stunning in real life as they were in the movie. So, grab your archeologist's whip and put on a dirty old fedora. In this week's bucket list photo guide, we're discovering the once lost city of Petra.

PIXEO HQ

Well, I wasn't kidding, an unbelievable number of submissions this week. It was all we could do to keep up, which is an excellent problem to have. Our sincere thanks to all of you for this great problem to have from PIXEO HQ (i.e. Our Kitchen). You're keeping Lisette (our curator) very busy.

We reworked the pixeoapp.com website as well this week. We wanted to make it a bit more intuitive and spruce up the front page. I hope you all like it, and if you've never been, please do check it out.

Shout out to Dolores, one of our users, who helped us identify a bug last week as well. The development team believes they have squashed it, and a new update should be coming out soon. It's related to the location galleries, and we think we've got it fixed.

As for myself, I write from one of my favourite places on earth, Halifax. I'll be here for the next couple of days as part of my day job. As always, you can count on me to be out shooting, so if you're looking for me, I'll be the guy with a camera around his neck and tripod over his arm wandering the city at night. That sounds dangerous when I say it out loud, but my tripod doubles as a weapon and I know Jiu-Jitsu, so I should be okay.

As a final point, today's the last day to vote in the PIXEO Challenge, so get on the PIXEO Photo Challenge page and start voting.

Yours aye,

Shawn M. Kent
