Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum

THIS WEEK'S BUCKET LIST PHOTO GUIDE
In tall white letters, an otherwise nondescript red building proclaims itself the Allen Herschell Carrousel Factory, and it is terrific. This turn of the century building is now home of the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum. A beautiful relic of a forgotten time that sits nestled in a residential portion of Tonawanda, NY.

THIS WEEK'S BEST NEW LOCATIONS

The scenic view looking out over the farmland along Behm Line. This location is especially photogenic with the round bales at sunset.

An amazing rooftop view looking out over the Praia do Náutico waterfront. This view is especially photogenic at sunset.

Stångehuvud Lighthouse - The legendary lighthouse of Stångehuvud sits on the farthest tip of the nature reserve. This amazing wooden lighthouse is now run by solar panels and is a noted landmark of the reserve. This area is known for its red Bohus granite. The granite was formed about 920 million years ago and the cliffs were later shaped by the ice during the last glacial period.

The Sun Life Building is a historic Montreal landmark dating back 100 years.  When completed it was the largest building in square footage anywhere in the British Empire.

A lovely abandoned bridge across the Bonnechere River begs to be photographed. Easily accessible, and right next to the stunning Bonnechere Caves.

Meanwhile at
PIXEO HQ

At long last, we got an image upload page on the website. For our App users, we still recommend that you use the app to upload to ensure your pics are associated with your account, but at least now anyone can upload to the map even if they don't have the app. One day we'll save enough pennies to link the two together.

Other than that not much else went on this week at PIXEO. To be frank it was a fair bit of work to put that together. By the time you get this, Shawn will be headed west cross country through Algonquin park to Orillia and the Barrie area. He's hoping to grab a few great spots along the way, so stay tuned to his Instagram.

In the meantime, we're looking forward to seeing the last minute entries into this month's PIXEO Challenge

Happy snapping!
