I see you, and you are truly beautiful.
Soul scripture of the week: Proverbs 31:18 (The Passion Translation)
''She tastes and experiences a better substance, and her shining light shall not be extinguished no matter how dark the night"
What does it mean to be the light?
We gain a glimpse in this scripture of a woman who is lit from within; something deeper within the soul realm that provides equipping and insight. A woman who tastes perhaps a better substance than the culture around her. A woman who seeks something more that is truly equipped to satisfy the need she sees before her.
We see in Genesis that God intentionally created the inferior and superior frequencies of light and darkness. Light is the superior frequency that is defined as 'a natural agent that stimulates sight and makes all things visible'. To see the light means to illuminate or receive revelation. The verb is to start burning a flame or to ignite.
All of these definitions shed light on the women of God we are called to step into. Tasting the "better substance" in the new testament revelation of Jesus as the ultimate light that helps us see - truly SEE - the world around us with our spiritual eyes. As CS Lewis so beautifully wrote, we cannot see the sun but through the sun we can truly see all things. Truly, Jesus becomes our light that removes our spiritual blindness through which we can see in ways beyond our human understanding.
From this place, we can be women who truly start to burn and ignite change in our world. To passionately pursue a stronghold breaking, chain-breaking, heart-changing revelation of Jesus' LOVE for this world. And to take what's in our hands and reach out to those around us.
And can we truly know light if we haven't walked through deeper spaces of darkness?
Places of the heart + soul that teach us more love, more compassion, more empathy. Teach us that the greatest wrong in this world is believing that one life is more valuable over another. To choose to surrender and serve a Jesus who has known real scars, and still chose to serve the world that He loves. We can be women who step through darkness knowing that Jesus goes before, behind and ahead of us. We can be woman who can walk through a season of darkness saying my light and my hope is in the Lord. And I believe my life will leave a blazing trail that points to His ultimate victory.
May we all be this women, this mothering heart - that leaves the world a little bit brighter than we found it. With our lives pointing back to the ultimate LIGHT we've found in Jesus.
Dear Jesus, we come before you because we need a better substance than the culture of this world has to offer. We need fresh revelation of your truth, your light to illuminate our hearts and our path. If we are walking through any spaces of darkness we speak your authority over any challenges we are facing. Knowing that the victory is already yours. I thank you for each and every feminine heart, who was lovingly created in love and light for connection with you.
Would love to hear your story as we grow together community, Say hello here xx
