Regional Leadership Conferences (RLCs) 2022

This year, our Tennessee FBLA regional competitive events will be held virtually in January 2022. Last year, our Tennessee FBLA virtual competitive events helped prevent travel restrictions from being barriers for students to participate. We were also able to heavily recruit industry professionals outside of our regional and state areas to assist with evaluating the students virtually. Our Tennessee FBLA regional-level and state-level events have been updated here, for planning purposes, and should be reviewed as soon as possible.

The registration fee will be $10 per student. (There will not be a registration fee for advisers this year; however, please register every active adviser of the chapter to ensure future RLC communications are not missed.) More details will be published here before registration opens on December 6. In order for any students to participate in the conference, they must be registered/affiliated as an official member of FBLA
here first. Meanwhile, here are a few participation updates and important dates to share with your students, which can also be found at FBLATN.org/calendar:

State Membership Campaign for 2021-22

Last school year was a challenging year for membership growth for Tennessee FBLA, and we want every chapter to reach new heights this year by participating in our state membership campaign. This year, our goal is to exceed 6,000 members in Tennessee FBLA, and we cannot achieve this goal without you. Please remember there are great incentives and awards in place for increasing your chapter membership by December 1. The Tennessee FBLA State Membership Campaign will certainly help you reach your chapter goals.

National Chapter Challenges for 2021-22

FBLA Champion Chapter is a series of membership engagement-focused challenges that chapters may complete for national recognition. By completing activities, chapters accrue points. Completing activities across four sections (to accrue points) will result in Champion Chapter recognition, with a banner for the adviser’s classroom/meeting space or school award case. Additional incentives such as ribbons at conferences, national recognition in publications, and plaques are available.

  • Champion Chapter is open to all active chapters. FBLA chapter advisers may access the activity list for each section within the Leadership Community.

FBLA Middle Level Merit Award is a membership engagement-focused challenge that chapters may complete for national recognition. By completing activities, chapters work toward filling out a “BINGO” card. In addition, Middle-Level chapter advisers may explore a monthly choice board (found in the Leadership Community) created to offer additional activities. Additional incentives such as ribbons at conferences, national recognition in publications, and plaques are available.

  • Merit Award is open to all active chapters. FBLA Middle Level chapter advisers may access the activity list for each section within the Leadership Community.

Chapter Membership Is Now Open for 2021-22

Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) is for high school students, with over 196,950 members and more than 5,200 chapters. FBLA-Middle Level (FBLA-ML) for junior high and middle school students, with over 21,900 members and more than 750 chapters. Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) for college students, with over 8,000 members and more than 350 chapters. Professional Division (PD) for FBLA-PBL alumni, business professionals, educators, and parents who support the goals of the association, with over 3,900 members.

FBLA membership is open year-round; however, Tennessee FBLA encourages all chapters to activate their chapter by submitting initial membership by November 15 to ensure your chapter continues to receive communications, publications, and services from FBLA-PBL and Tennessee FBLA. The deadline for members to be eligible to compete at the National Leadership Conference is March 1. Click here to submit your chapter membership.
