Further changes! 'Can art change the world?'
Probably not, but it seems that Covid-19 can

Dear Members

We are writing to let you know that in light of Government advice regarding Covid-19, we have made the following decisions.
  • Our lecture on 20 April is cancelled.

  • Our Special Interest Day 'Can Art Change the World?' on 27 April is postponed until next year, 2021.
These are unprecedented times and we anticipate that in the interest of the health of our members our May and June lectures, and the Dawson's 'Collecting Antiques' evening evert on 19 May may also have to be cancelled. We are reviewing the situation regularly and will give you as much notice as possible of any further changes.

During this difficult time, we appreciate that many people may feel isolated. The planned social distancing measures are likely to increase this over the coming weeks and many of our members will miss their usual activities, including society lectures. The Arts Society in London is working hard to ensure that members can access arts content online from home. The Society is in conversation regarding streaming presentations with Exhibitions on Screen and HENI Talks and will communicate their scheduling as soon as possible. Watch out for their email messages!

Behind the scenes in Maidenhead we have been working on a new website for our society and we will let you know when this is up and running. It will also include links to other online resources.

In the meantime, we hope that you and those close to you keep safe.
With very best wishes,

The Committee of The Arts Society Maidenhead
