MARCH FOR OUR LIVES
We March Again! Take part on June 11!

March For Our Lives was first organized by students in March 2018 with a massive action in Washington D.C. in response to a mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. that year. We're marching for our lives again in DC and across the nation on June 11th (300 local marches and counting). Join us in the next chapter in our fight and find a march near you.  To find a march near you, go to https://marchforourlives.com.

Or attend a Virtual March: Marie Mueller (AAUW-OR Secretary) Invites you to join The Virtual March for Our Lives Across the Globe in Response to Uvalde, Texas Shooting and a Call for Action. Many in-person marches are taking place on June 11, and we hope that this Virtual March appeals to those who are not near an actual March or unable to march.

When: Saturday, June 11, 11:30-1:00 PDT
Registration Link:    https://forms.gle/MaxDMm3WLepNgzCz7
Speakers: Members of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International for Key Women Educators
 Celebrate Juneteenth with These Books
Hear these authors live at Portland's Freadom Festival, Saturday, June 19th at Peninsula Park "A core tenet of the Freadom Festival is our belief that reading and books should be inclusive and accessible. Which is why we are hosting this free event in a local Portland park, open to all to come learn the importance of Juneteenth, fellowship with a community of fellow book lovers, support Black businesses, receive reading resources, and celebrate literacy and liberation!"
