 Title IX Events
Eugene-Lane Branch Invites You:

Saturday, June 11, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Hybrid Meeting (Live & Zoom)

Join us in person or via Zoom for our season finale and celebration for the 50th Anniversary of the passage of Title IX. Our program will feature two nationally renowned Title IX advocates, branch member Becky Sisley and guest Vickie Dugan. At Westminster Presbyterian or to join us on Zoom, CLICK HERE.

As a strong proponent for Title IX since its early days, Becky Sisley will share with us the history and context of its passage and subsequent interpretations. A nationally renowned athlete herself, UO professor emeritus, and UO Women’s Athletic Director in the 1970s, she is slated to be inducted into the Oregon Sports Hall of Fame in July.
Vickie Dugan is former women’s softball coach at OSU, who sued the university for sex discrimination in the 1990s, including retaliation for cooperating in a federal investigation of OSU’s Title IX compliance. She was supported by AAUW's Legal Advocacy Fund.

EXCITING UPDATE:
BOTH of Vickie Dugan's attorneys will be attending in person. Martha Walters is now Oregon's Chief Justice. More>  Suzanne Chanti is a recently retired Lane Co. circuit court judge. Vickie will attend remotely.
