Hello dance family!

Wow it feels good to be back in-person #happydance! The energy in the dance studio has been filled once again. I'm very proud of all the dancers who pushed through these incredibly challenging months on Zoom. The only part I miss about virtual dance class is seeing your pets make special appearances.

As you all know, trying to plan anything in the future has been incredibly hard this year. Continue reading below about what may come for The Spring Dance Recital 2021, and dates for this upcoming Spring Dance Registration. Thanks again for all your support and understanding!

-Mr. Tyler

Spring Dance Season Registration

Registration for the Winter Dance Season will be open February 22 - February 27, with classes beginning March 1. The Spring Season is 10 weeks, ending with a Spring Dance Recital (read more below). This is for any new dancer who wants to join The Studio Centre who is not currently enrolled in dance class (if space allows). Due to COVID-19 we are still capping all dance classes to nine dancers per class. A virtual option is available. The Zoom link can be found in your online portal after registering.

Currently enrolled dancers:
If you have a dancer currently enrolled in class and wants to continue, you will not have to do anything. All classes will roll over into the Spring Dance Season.
Add a class:
If you have a dancer currently enrolled in classes and would like to add a class, please click the 'Register For Classes' button. Select the new class > Submit. (If a specific class is not showing up, then it is full. )
Drop a class:
If you have a dancer currently enrolled in classes but would like to drop a class, please head to your online portal. Click 'Account'  > 'Students' > Click the class that you are wanting to drop > Click 'Drop This Class' > 'Confirm'.
Adult Classes - Spring Dance Season Registration

Adult Beginner Ballet on Tuesdays at 7:00 - 8:15pm Spring Registration will be open February 22 - February 27, with classes beginning March 1. The Spring Season is 10 weeks. To manage class sizes and eliminate in-person transactions, we'll be using an online reservation system. Just select your drop-in dates and pay (per class $15) or enroll for the full winter season ($120). Register to drop-in 24 hours in advance using our dance portal. Your health and safety is our most important priority. Please read about our COVID-19 policies here before attending class. There will be a maximum of 9 dancers per class to allow for social distancing. Please note, registration will close 24 hours before each adult dance class. A virtual option is available. The Zoom link can be found in your online portal after registering. Have no fear, you will NOT be performing in the Spring Dance Recital!
Spring Dance Recital 2021

A lot of you have been asking about a recital and what that may look like for this year. Please know we are working very hard to nail down specifics. At this point we are unable to reserve a location until the group gathering restrictions are lifted. However, we are hoping to be able to reserve the West Park when they start accepting applications this month (cross your fingers). Listed below is what we know as of now (subject to change).
  • The Spring Dance Recital 2021 will be located outside, hopefully at the bandshell in Ann Arbor's West Park.
  • Recital week will be June 1 - June 5, with one show on June 4 and a possible second show on June 5.
  • Costumes will be minimal, with face masks.
  • All dance routines will be socially distanced.
  • I promise when I receive more information, you all will be the first to know!
