Dear friends,
Half over!!  Wow this summer is just flying by!  With the dog days of summer half over we hope that you are taking the chance to get out as much as the heat will allow with your dogs and enjoy summer festivals, walks on the beach and just a stroll through the woods.
Summer beginning to head into fall also means that it is time to get ready for all the fun that fall brings like Quinte Canine's Fall Scent Detection Trial and the Quinte Humane Societies Wiggle Waggle Walk-A-Thon where you can walk, attend the canine festival or participate in the Quinte Canine Canine Olympics! Be sure to check our Community Events at the bottom of the newsletter to learn more about this fabulous event and how you can get Quinte Canine gift certificates FOR FREE!  Continue to keep cool and be cool, wishing you all a safe and happy August!

To register for any of the above classes visit: https://www.quintecanine.com/registration
Once payment is made and the registration form has been received, we will process your class enrollment and send you an email with all of the details and class handouts.

Previous students: if you have completed a registration form in the past you do not need to complete one again unless your information has changed or this is a new dog. Please just email us to register.

The trial this fall will be held at 51 Highland Ave Belleville.

We will need volunteers for the following:

Fun at Mr. Spot Dog Camp 2018!

From July 15-21 this year Yvonne had the pleasure of teaching at Mr Spot Dog Camp at the beautiful St. Lawrence College in Kingston.  Oh the amazing fun!  Teaching 5-6 classes per day with eager dogs and handlers from all over Ontario and the US (including the amazing Kate and Harley - Quinte Canine students) it was an unmatched expereince we wish everyone could enjoy!  Yvonne took along both Meshu and Thunder this year to share in the fun and help out as demonstration dogs.  Both preformed with no stage freight and even made some new friends!

Congratulations Thunder!!! At the end of camp he earned his CGN (Canine Good Neighbour) under evaluator Mikki Bradford of Morning Star Academy. Tina (Thunders person) has put some fantastic work into Thunder as he handled like a dream for Yvonne in the test.

Now: Thunder, SD-A, FD, CGN, HIC!!!

Student Brags in July!

Basic Scent Detection Level 1 - Zuke, Winter, Miley, Dagger & Kyda

Basic Scent Detection Level 2 - Reese, Derby, Skye & Axel

Best of Luck to our friends Meredith and Reese!

Meredith has packed up and moved to Labrador (literally the day after graduating her Basic Scent Detection Level 2)!   Meredith is currently finishing up her PhD and received an incredible job offer.  Although we will certainly miss her and her amazing SuperSniffer, Reese, a 5 year old Vizsla, we know this is a great opportunity for her!  Thank you so much for sharing Reese with us Meredith and all the best for a bright future!
