Letter from the Editor

  Dear friends,
September means back to school, but not just for the 2 legged.  Its a great time to get the 4 legged back into school!  With the holidays coming and life about to get busy again, as if it isn't always busy, get your training back on track so it feels like a part of the consistent routine in a less consistent feeling season.
It is also a great time to think about trying something new! Young, older, new or seasoned, Scent Detection is a great way to stimulate your dogs mind and give him/her a job to do! So get back into the swing of things wit some classes today, don't worry we wont send you home with a list of funny pens and papers you need to buy!

And don't forget to mark your calendars now! Quinte Canine's annual holiday potluck and party in support of Quinte Humane Society will be held this year on Thursday December 12th!

Once payment is made and the registration form has been received, we will process your class enrollment and send you an email with all of the details and class handouts.

Previous students: if you have completed a registration form in the past you do not need to complete one again unless your information has changed or this is a new dog. Please just email us to register.

SEEKING: New detection practice locations!

Quinte Canine Scent Detection Students (aka the Super Sniffers) are looking for new and different locations to practice the amazing sport of scent detection! Once students complete classes they are able to join the Super Sniffers (which is a practicing club) and we schedule 3-4 practices per month.

If you have a location (this could be a business, building, home, cottage, etc.) that you would allow our amazing dogs to practice in please let us know by email It is important for the dogs to get into new locations as often as possible to keep their skills sharp, learn new skills and build confidence.

Practices are normally held on Wednesday (daytime) and Sunday (daytime) but other days can be worked out.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about the sport and get a firsthand look at how it all works!
