Internal Communications and Empowered Workforce: Aniisu in Conversation with IABC’s Sukanya
IABC India’s Aniisu Varghese recently interviewed Sukanya Chakraborty of VFS Global for Intraskope, his website on internal communications and empowerment. A firm believer in collaboration and stakeholder involvement, Sukanya addresses the need for internal communications to play a larger role in getting employees on the same page, getting the most from leadership communication, and creating an inclusive culture at the workplace. Her advice for aspiring communicators includes being available and approachable, being open to ideas, and tapping your potential while engaging with internal communications.

Our member of the month prefers to be introduced as a fellow business communicator named after a Japanese philosophy. Meet Kaizin, who aspired to be a Communications Specialist after an insightful internship at Godrej Industries. Kaizin holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Communications and Public Relations from the University of Leeds, UK, where she first began her IABC journey. During her course, she was mentored by former IABC UK Chair, Casilda Malagon. In India, Kaizin has worked with several global companies such as MUFG Bank, GoPro, Corning Inc., to establish local brand presence whilst working at FleishmanHillard. Kaizin has also been recognized at Cannes, Sabre South Asia, Spikes Asia, as a PRO for her work on a social awareness campaign. She then went on to work with Eureka Forbes to devise communications for internal and external stakeholders.
