Calling all environmentalists...

It would appear that some elements of the Scottish public authorities do not like the environment and are trying to spoil it and not follow the EU Directives on Sustainable Tourism and Climate Change.

We have been very vociferous about this, despite The Highland Council's threatening letters and HIE's attempts to get the feasibility study for the North Highland Way free of charge.  The abortive attempt at getting toilets at Dunnet Head was because the minimum grant was £71,000.  For toilets.. Please. What are they made of  - solid gold?

We are so outraged that we have set up Rachel Carson Enterprises, which is based in Northern Ireland, therefore depriving the Scottish Government of much needed tax revenues from the small business with a big heart!

The first course starts on 15th March 2019 and is every Friday morning for 5 weeks.
The shiny new web site for the whole group is at to which the is integrated, as is the for the moment. The new platform provides a basis for marketing between Ireland, Spain and Scotland.

So, regardless that HIE does not recognise our efforts and only mentions Easyways (who we brought in) we are firmly in charge of the project and no grant money will be required.  We do have endorsement from THC and SNH know that only we have the knowledge to pull it off.

The sort of behaviour of some of the public services does nothing to help Scotland's bid for independence.

On another note, the Hispanic Society of Carrickfergus, a division of Rachel Carson Enterprises, is launching its Spanish event in mid January but the most exciting news is that Competa will be the first council area to go Green... thanks to Rachel Carson Enterprises.

You can now register your interest in a t shirt for the North Highland Way.  Contact us from the web site at
