TOGETHER, We're Reaching the Refugees!

Hello Dearest Partners & Friends!

We send greetings & love to you from beautiful Poland. It has been very busy since we returned 2 weeks ago. Of course, the main focus for everyone here since the invasion of Ukraine has been to try and help the refugees in whatever ways they can. In the last 3 weeks Poland has received more than 2.1 million refugees, and it has been amazing to see how the Polish communities have opened their hearts and homes. Most came with one small bag, so they had to leave everything, and some have lost pretty much everything.

After sending our last letter that shared the opportunity to help the refugees, Speer Ministries has received so far $14,826.00 that has been sent out to six ministries that we have close relationship with and that are working directly with the refugees, and sending supplies to the border and into Ukraine. The funds have been sent across Poland to our Pastor friends in Lublin, Częstochowa, Katowice, Tarnów, Wrocław, and right here in Gdynia. And we know more funds are coming in. Partners, you are making an impact in reaching these precious ones. Thank you so much!!

Your funds have helped purchase medical supplies that have been taken into Ukraine in areas where supply was wiped out and people were in great need. Food has been sent to the border & into Ukraine to help those that are still there. All of these Churches are helping to house refugees and get them in a safe place as they must make decisions on where to go for a more permanent place. Many want to stay in Poland because they do not want to be far from home as they hope they can return soon. The children have been registered and are attending school now. It's important that they are able to have a normal routine & that they have something good to look forward to. The churches that we have joined our  support to are paying for apartments and houses to provide shelter for these families, and they pay all the utilities as well. One of the churches in Lublin has been housing over 200 refugees in 5 houses that they rented.

Sunday we met several Ukrainian families and had the opportunity to minister to them and talk with them, and just hear their stories. Steve & I cried along with them as they shared about leaving their homes, husbands, fathers, brothers, churches and communities not knowing what will happen. Their hearts are so open to God and we believe the Holy Spirit is ministering so much comfort, strength and grace to each one.

Just yesterday, we were contacted through FB by one of our former students from when we served in Moscow, Russia as Bible School teachers back from 2004-2008. She and her parents just arrived in Gdańsk from Ukraine. Natalya's father has cancer so we have people helping trying to get him registered so he can receive treatment & care here in Poland. We haven't seen each other face to face yet, but in talking with her and asking her what other needs they have, and what can we do, she replied, " We're just so glad to have peaceful skies up above us and we can rest".  You just want to hug these precious hurting people and shower them with God's love & compassion.

Whatever controversies there are regarding the war, the truth is that there are many innocent victims of this war, families that have been displaced and have lost everything. We are glad that we can atleast help to meet some of the physical needs that they have and that they are open to the Gospel. They are hungry for hope & good news! The Polish believers are stirred with a sense of urgency to share Jesus. We believe through this crisis many decisions to follow Christ are being made! Glory to God!!

We are also keeping busy in preparatory meetings for RHEMA and for our TV show. We will update you  on this next month.

We wanted to share some photos with you. You'll see some of the van loads of supplies & food that were taken to the border for the refugees that you helped to provide. There's a photo of one of the Ukrainian moms with her 2 children in one of the shelter houses. 6-year old Bogdan received a wheelchair that has helped him get around after experiencing muscle failure. One of the young girls in one of the shelter homes was cooking potato pancakes for everyone. The photo at the train station shows the sheer magnitude of refugees that have come to Poland. This just confirms how significant Poland is in this hour in all of Europe.

THANK YOU, dear friends for keeping us in your prayers and for your faithful support! We thank God for how He has joined us together in this work at this time in history. What a privilege to be alive and see what God is doing as we are living in these last of the last days!!!

The Lord bless you and keep you! Keep trusting in His Word that is alive and full of power! Know that you serve a God Who is faithful and He will never fail you! In this hour of increasing inflation and stress on every side, keep your gaze fixed on the Word! Your Father is the All-Sufficient One and He will take care of you and meet every need that you have! Remember, We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony! Let HIs praise be on your lips and boldly declare His goodness & faithfulness over your life!

Thanking God for you, dearest Partners! We love you!!!!

With prayers and sending hugs,
Steve & Pam

We so appreciate your regular monthly support which keeps us here on the ground doing what we're doing.
