Photos from our ministry trip to Lublin
Hello Dearest Partners & Friends!
We trust this finds you enclosed in God's peace continually even as you are bombarded with all the things happening across the globe right now. We are blessed to know the awesome, faithful God Who is the Deliverer! You have to remind yourself continually with all that is going on, when fear tries to creep into your thoughts and attach itself to you, that you have been given authority over fear! We must refuse to fear! We know that WITH GOD we triumph and He has made us more than Conquerors in this life! He has made you for such a time as this! He created you to be LIGHT in the darkness!! His grace is more than enough to cover you, fill you, and keep you, so that you can do what God has called you to do in this hour!!! We are praying for you that you would be strong spirit, soul and body and that you would speak God's words boldly to your neighbors, co-workers, and family as opportunities arise. God will open doors to minister His love & peace to hurting, fearful people in this hour. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's leading and be ready.
What a great time of God pouring out His Spirit in Lublin! Partners, we so much want to thank you for your support. It's because of you that we can go minister & help build and strengthen the church here in Poland. We do not receive any offerings to go minister in these various places, and we pay all of our own expenses. We don't ask that the Pastors cover our gasoline, food or hotel expenses. So your faithful support is allowing us to go and be a blessing to these congregations across Poland. Thank YOU!!! One Partner asked how much gas costs here, and it is just under $6.00 a gallon. We are so thankful to God for our wonderful vehicle that the Lord supplied for us. We can now go where some of the public transportation would not take us so easily. Driving on the Polish highways and roads was a bit of a learning curve. On our trip to Lublin we pulled off to get gasoline and because gas stations are not as frequent here, there was a 30 minute wait in line to fill up. Little things to learn to adjust to.
We had not met the Pastors in Lublin before, only communicated by phone & email. What precious hearts they have to reach their city with the Gospel. We had the privilege of joining them to minister and help feed hungry people at their street church on Saturday. Some are homeless and some just very poor. People were lining up even before we arrived to get the tent & things all set up. There were a little over 150 people that we served hot food, coffee, and lemonade to. Then, they listened to the Word of God and were prayed for. Many came forward for personal prayer. It truly was a joy to see their faces light up when we gave them Bibles, clothes and bags of fruit & bread to take with them.
Sunday morning Steve ministered the Word in the church service and people responded so quickly to draw close to God. Sunday evening we had the opportunity to minister at the International English service. Both Polish and many English speakers come. Most are students at the university in Lublin and are from Africa. We met students from Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, and Ethiopia. There was such a powerful move of the Holy Ghost present as they pressed in to receive from God. In our services we were able to share about Rhema Bible School opening in a hybrid format early 2022, and many were so excited and eager to learn more. We saw such a hunger in the people to learn more about God, and to grow and discover what their purpose is in life.
On Thursday we leave for Słupsk (Swoopsk) in north western Poland. We will be meeting with one of our translators and recording 12 one hour class sessions with her. We also will be working with a new translator that we will be recording some promos for the Bible School. We will have the privilege of being in service with our friends, Pastor Marek & Ala Siudek on Sunday and share about the Bible School program. With Covid restrictions possibly being enforced again it is important to have our classes recorded so once school begins it can keep functioning, no matter what.
Coming Up in Sept/Oct:
Our Fall schedule is beginning to look very busy. In the last week we have had new invitations to come minister & meet Pastors in southern Poland. The last weekend in September we will be ministering for a Polish Church's anniversary celebration weekend in Częstochowa. The following 2 weeks we will minister in Katowice and then Tarnów. This area is very close to Kraków, one of the oldest cities in Poland. As we travel more, we are learning more about the people, their history and are understanding what a key region this nation is for all of Europe. We call forth the light of the glorious Gospel to shine so brightly in Poland and we see an awakening in this nation that will impact Europe and its people in a mighty way!!
Update: Bank Account- we had to meet with our lawyer again to get some things changed in our Foundation documents so that we could legally open a bank account. Please continue to pray for favor as these new articles go through the Court system that it will be done with expediency and we will be able to get this opened soon.
Praise Report: We are moving to a different apartment September 13th. We have very much enjoyed our location being so close to the forest, but it has been a challenge to work & to rest with our rather noisy neighbors. We found a place in a much quieter area, and no one will be above us to keep us up all night. God is so good and is taking care of every need, and putting us in a place where we will be more effective.
As we, His people seek His Kingdom first and His rightousness, all the things we need are added to us. We have been spending much time in the book of Proverbs in our personal devotion time these last many weeks. We so desire God's wisdom, insight and plan to accomplish the work here.
Proverbs 4:11-13 TPT " I have taken you by the hand in wisdom's ways, pointing you to the path of integrity. Your progress will have no limits when you come along with me, and you will never stumble as you walk along the way. So receive my correction no matter how hard it is to swallow, for wisdom will snap you back into place- her words will be invigorating life to you!" I love how it says when we follow wisdom we will walk in integrity, and that there will be no limits to the progress we can make! Also, that wisdom will snap us back into the right place if we miss it somewhere. Isn't that awesome!!
Vs. 18- " The lovers of God walk on the highway of light, and their way shines brighter & brighter until the perfect day." We are walkiing in HIS LIGHT! We are not stumbling in the darkness, we can see & know what to do in every circumstance. His light shines over us, in us and through us so others can see HIM! May we all be stirred to keep seeking HIM FIRST in all that we do! Following wisdom will make us fruitful!!!
God bless you today!!! We love & appreciate you and faithfully have you in our prayers! Thank you for coming on this journey with us!
Sending love and hugs across the miles,
Steve & Pam
