there once was a note

Hi all -

I hope your summer is full of relaxing sunshine and many delicious garden-fresh meals with friends and family.  To update you on Change Food - we’re currently outlining our 2020 strategy - and beyond - and finding the best ways to align Change Food with the international food campaign I’ve been developing with another company.

This means we’re currently strategizing on how we can best support the overall campaign and how Change Food can develop resources and projects in line with what this larger campaign will be doing.

Personally, over the past couple of years I’ve been fortunate to have time to explore my life and my priorities, and I’ve made a conscious choice to live in a world of gratitude, possibility, connection, support and community - which is now the underlying foundation of Change Food.

I invite you to join me and the new Change Food as we help create a better world for all.

Warmly,

Diane

Reducing our meat consumption is a good thing, but replacing it with over processed, soy protein isolate burgers is not healthy. Period. Find out more in our latest article "No No No to Impossible Burgers".

If you haven’t yet, please join our Change Food Now community on Facebook.  We’re working to turn it into an active space where you can post about what you’re doing food-wise, ask questions, connect with others - and more.  We want to hear from you - so join us!
Want to get involved with Change Food?  We’re searching for a couple qualified candidates to help with writing blog articles and handling social media.  Please fill this out if you’re interested. Writing experience and social media experience mandatory.
Out in the Street
  • World Food Summit and Bite - Diane will be at the World Food Summit and Bite in Copenhagen end of August - let her know if you'll be there also!
  • Looking to connect in person with other food-minded folks?  Food Tank is hosting summits and talks around the country - check them out to see if one is coming to your town soon.
  • Do you watch Jerry Seinfeld’s “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee”?  How fun to see Jerry pop into the Museum of Food and Drink in one episode and speak with E.D. Peter Kim!
  • Want to stay up-to-date with all the news in food?  Then sign up for the Food + Tech Connect newsletter - by far the best food news newsletter out there!

We decided to close down our Patreon page - we weren't able to give it the attention it needed and the fees they charged on top of the fees Change Food’s fiscal sponsor takes seemed too much.  And we realized we can do the same things through our own donation site We Did It.

We’re considering starting a private group for donors of any level - to give you news and information before anyone else and to give you insight into our work that the general public will not see.  We’re looking at ways we can thank our supporters for believing in us and believing in the mission of Change Food. More to come.
