2019 LEGACY AWARDS_

In 2017 we launched The Legacy Award to celebrate Princess Diana’s life and legacy in the 20th Anniversary year since her death.

On the 26th of November, we celebrated our second generation of Legacy Award recipients at a glittering ceremony at the Old Royal Naval College. We're beyond thankful for our headline sponsor Gilead Sciences and our travel partner British Airways for making it possible.

LEGACY AWARD EXPERIENCE

As well as celebrating the Legacy Award recipients at the Awards Ceremony, they also kickstarted their Legacy Award Development Programme with a four day residential. The group of 20 were flown over to London where they participated in exclusive workshops and events with our partners and sponsors, which helped them build on their personal and professional development.

Lead2030 is One Young World’s signature initiative for the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Launched at the One Young World Summit 2019 in The Hague, Lead2030 finds, funds and accelerates impactful initiatives for the SDGs created by leaders under 30. In its first year, Lead2030 provided $500,000 to support 10 SDG Challenge Winners, making it the world's biggest cash prize for youth-led solutions for the SDGs.

The first cohort of winners traveled to the 2019 Summit where they presented their solutions across multiple interactive side-stage sessions.
