It's been a minute since our last dispatch from the Vermont woods. Fall has come, flannel is in season (flannel is always in season), and the foliage...well, what is fall without its falling leaves and colors and migrating birds and pumpkin spice grossness and festivals and fairs and homecomings and preparatory winter chores and those last desperate graspings at warmth, wearing shorts with our flannels, sandals with our fleeces, clinging to the memory of heat, wishing memory could keep us warm for the next six months.

I stray from my point.

Much has happened over the last months, but rather than rehash the wood-stacking and tomato-picking, we write with our biggest news yet: We have finally, after two years, built an outdoor shower.
It's a holiday, so we'll leave it there for now. Check out the post about our new hot water setup, and forward this to someone who's been dreaming of an outdoor shower with a view.

Take care. Winter is not far away!
