Here to support your growth
|
|
Learning and development funds
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Workforce Development funding for Nursing and Allied Health Professionals. Cannot be accessed by GPs. It can support short courses, conferences, and university modules.
|
|
|
Apprenticeship levy
Funds to pay for 100% of the training costs for both clinical and non-clinical apprenticeships. Available to everyone at all levels (new starters and existing members of staff). Allows learners to gain a qualification whilst earning a salary.
|

|
Nursing Associate to General Practice Nurse funding
NHSE have expanded the roles eligible for funding under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme. This now includes reimbursing training time for Nursing Associates to become General Practice Nurses.

NATH is excited to have two additional staff in the team. James Baillon has started as the Data Analytics Manager in Sept and Dr Errum Mumtaz has returned from maternity leave to her role as Education Lead in NATH.

We met with the University of Nottingham Pharmacy Team to agree their placements process and delivery going forwards. We will liaise with HEIs on their 22/23 requirements.

Sarah researched evidence for the flu vaccination campaign. She taught a 1:1 session around poster design, and has begun making impact case studies for the Evidence Support Librarian role.

We supported ICS colleagues new into post as ICS ACP Leads. We provided advice for the ICS LDA Trainee ACP bids to HEE and successfully gained funding for 6 posts.

Social Prescribing Link Worker Educational Community of Practice
For Social Prescribing Link Workers. Connects and fosters shared learning and peer support. Operates via a WhatsApp group to stay connected, with bespoke educational events to develop skills and knowledge. Runs every 2 months.

ICS Primary Care Advanced Practice Network
For people training or working in advanced practice within primary care. Promotes collaborative working, and effective and safe practice within the ICS. Provides educational and supervisory support for Advanced Practitioners. Runs every 2 months.

General Practice Respiratory Network
For anybody working in general practice undertaking respiratory reviews / who has an interest in respiratory care. Supports networking, quality improvement work and enables discussions around changes in local and national guidance. Runs every 2-months.

General Practice Coffee and Catch-up
For Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Nursing Associates and Trainee Nursing Associates only. An opportunity to network with fellow colleagues across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, and offer support and guidance. Runs once a month.

Pharmacy Technician Network
New network aimed at all Pharmacy Technicians across all healthcare sectors. To provide networking and support opportunities, as well as to increase potential collaboration. First meeting in November. Frequency thereafter to be agreed by attendees.
