Learning and development funds
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Workforce Development funding for Nursing and Allied Health Professionals. Cannot be accessed by GPs. It can support short courses, conferences, and university modules.
|
|
|
Apprenticeship levy
Funds to pay for 100% of the training costs for both clinical and non-clinical apprenticeships. Available to everyone at all levels (new starters and existing members of staff). Allows learners to gain a qualification whilst earning a salary.

Thanks to all who have shared thoughts on our Training Needs Analysis Survey. We’re working on the analysis of responses and will be using that to inform our planning for 22/23 and how it can support the use of the CPD and Workforce Development Funds.

Last month, we placed 17 students in nursing placements across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. We are also working closely to support one-day nursing placements across Primary Care.

Sarah provided a presentation about OpenAthens and how to utilise it to access knowledge. She provided a session on medical poster design and took part in influencing skills training.

We continue to meet individual ACPs and trainees on a 1:1 basis to provide support, development and career advice and strengthen relationships with ACPs and their employers.

We are getting better event attendance as a whole. We have run appraisal, clinical supervision course, and management series events successfully and have more events in September!

Social Prescribing Link Worker Educational Community of Practice
For Social Prescribing Link Workers. Connects and fosters shared learning and peer support. Operates via a WhatsApp group to stay connected, with bespoke educational events for Social Prescribers to develop skills and knowledge. Runs every 2 months.

ICS Primary Care ACP Network
For people training or working in advanced practice within primary care. Promotes collaborative working, and effective and safe practice within the ICS. Provides educational and supervisory support for Advanced Practitioners. Runs every 2 months.

General Practice Respiratory Network
For anybody working in general practice undertaking respiratory reviews / who has an interest in respiratory care. Supports networking, quality improvement work and enables discussions around changes in local and national guidance. Runs every 2-months.
