As a kid, did we not all learn an important safety principle from our parents? "Never talk to strangers!" The idea "stranger danger" is a fundamental thing we teach our kids still, and for good reason. I can remember how dangerous I was told it could be to pick up a hitchhiker, how terrible it was to accept a gift from someone I didn't know.
I get the reasoning behind all of this. Unfortunately, it becomes something a bit tough to overcome as an adult.

We are working toward safely re-conving for in-person worship on September 26. The official announcement will be made by next week. Prior to this, we would like to know an estimate of how many will attend.
Leadership has been diligently discussing the timing of re-convening, as well as how to do so safely. We will do our best to ensure the health of all through certain protocols, including...
Limiting attendance to no more than 100 (including attendees and worship leaders)
Temperature prior to entering
Wearing face coverings over mouth and nose during the duration of our time together indoors
Maintaining a minimum physical distance of 6' unless part of your family unit
Providing hand sanitization stations
Encouraging online giving and limiting the use of paper products (bulletins, giving envelopes, etc.)
Limiting the worship gathering to 1 hour, beginning at 11:30 (to ensure time for those participating in virtual Sabbath School to attend).
Providing a link to RSVP so we'll have a good idea of how many will be attending.
Refraining from congregational singing.
Continuing to livestream the service via virtual, online options.
This is not an exhaustive list, but gives an idea of what it will look like. We ask that you go to the following link and let us know if you will plan to attend.
Thank you, and we are greatly looking forward to seeing each other again!

October 18, 2020 (Sunday) -- Eat Plants, Feel Whole – Dr. George Guthrie, M.D.
Dr. Guthrie works with patients who have diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension and has helped them restore their health through plant-based nutrition, as covered in his new book, Eat Plants Feel Whole. He will explain the scientific benefits of a whole-food, plant-based diet to prevent, treat, and often reverse these chronic diseases. Plant-based whole foods, in their plant food package, retain fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and micronutrients to neutralize excessive disease-causing oxidation and inflammation. Come learn how to harness the healing power of plants and transform your health.
