Exciting news – C-PACER / HB 2405 has passed both the House and Senate and now heads to the Governor’s desk for signature! This bill will enable low-cost, long-term financing for commercial and multifamily building energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resilience projects. Once developed at the county-level, C-PACER programs will be a critical financing tool for reducing emissions from new and existing buildings in Washington. 

The Shift Zero C-PACER Task Force led a diverse coalition in this effort and deserve much appreciation for the perseverance and teamwork that led to this success. Thank you to all the organizations and stakeholders that helped support this bill, to the bill’s sponsors, Rep. Davina Duerr and Sen. Liz Lovelett, and to last session’s champion, Rep. Beth Doglio.
