C-PACER Financing
Last week HB 1796, C-PACER Financing, made it to the House floor but unfortunately ran up against the voting cutoff and didn’t proceed. While it’s disappointing that the bill didn’t pass this year, solid groundwork has been laid to continue building strong support for C-PACER in the 2020 session, and Shift Zero will be active in that effort. Thank you to all the task force members who gave significant time and energy to this effort!

Clean Buildings for Washington Act (HB 1257)
Yesterday, the Clean Buildings for Washington Act (HB 1257) passed out of its last House committee. It’s next step is to pass the House Floor and then crossover to the Senate for more hearings and votes. It continues to remain important for your representatives and senator to hear from you about issues that important to you, so email or call them directly. In addition, March is a time when many legislators hold town halls back in the district. Many town halls were held last weekend, but some are this upcoming weekend. Check this map out from WEC and go talk to your legislator directly about what issues are important to you.

HEAL Act (SB 5489)
