We stand in solidarity, sadness, and grief with our community at the horrific act of violence last week at the Tree of Life Synagogue. We will continue to push back against bigotry and hatred. We will continue to be committee of inclusion.  We must be and shall be stronger than hate.

2nd Annual Light Up the Vote on Monday, November 5, election eve

Join us on Banksville Road and Washington Road from Dormont to Upper St Clair to Light Up the Vote! We'll gather at 5 locations with lights and signs to remind hundreds of passing motorists that their vote matters on Election Day. Bring your lanterns, camp lights, string lights, flashlights, luminaria, photography lights, flameless candles, etc. and a sign to remind voters to Vote Blue! Our theme this year is REPRESENT YOURSELF! VOTE BLUE TOMORROW.

There are the 5 locations:
  • In Dormont at the triangle formed by Banksville Rd and Dormont Ave. Contact Amie Downs or Beth Dabruzzo.
  • On the sidewalk near the corner of Washington Rd. and Bower Hill Rd. across from St. Bernard's church. Contact Mary Wroniak.
  • On the sidewalk near state Rep. Dan Miller's office at 650 Washington Rd. at Cedar Blvd. in Mt. Lebanon. Contact Lynne Hughes or Valerie Fleisher.

Election Day Volunteers

We're in the home stretch and gearing up for Tuesday! Most of the polls are covered and our phone bank looks good - we need your help knocking doors! As some of you may have seen on Conor's campaign, a strong ground game on election day can be the different between winning and losing. We all have been working hard over the past few months so let's make sure we finish strong on election day!

Please contact Sara Blumenstein at sara@sharon4pa.com or (724) 949-0528 if you have some time on Tuesday to help out Democrats up and down the ballot.

Where do I vote?

Registered voters who vote at the McLaughlin Run Activity Center (the MAC, aka old rec. center) will vote at the Municipal Building, Training Room (1820 McLaughlin Run Road, rear of building, near Library entrance) for the Nov. 6, 2018 election. The venue change is due to the ongoing renovation of the MAC. This change affects Ward 3, District 1 and Ward 3, District 3.
